What it does not publish is a country of manufacture. Its product pages also did not render their specification tables to our build machine, so several dimensions are recorded here as unread rather than guessed.

Naming all five layers is the thing to notice. It is the single specification that separates a considered five-ply from a marketing one, and almost nobody publishes it.
Why naming the stack matters more than counting it
Five-ply sounds better than three-ply and frequently is not. The number of layers tells you nothing on its own; what matters is how much aluminum is in the middle and how thick the whole sandwich is.
A five-ply pan with two thin aluminum layers can easily conduct worse than a tri-ply pan with one thick one. That is the entire argument in tri-ply versus five-ply, and it is why a published thickness plus a named stack is worth more than a ply count.
18/0 exterior means no nickel on the outside and enough iron to be magnetic - the reason the pan works on induction at all.
18/10 interior is the food-contact grade, chosen for corrosion resistance and non-reactivity rather than magnetism.
Aluminum and aluminum alloy as separate named layers implies different properties in each - typically a softer conductive layer and a stiffer structural one.
3.0 mm total is thick. All-Clad D3 and most tri-ply sit lower, and thickness predicts heat retention better than ply count.
Published dishwasher safe, which is a real differentiator
Misen publishes dishwasher safe. All-Clad and Made In both publish handwash-preferred guidance on comparable bare clad pans.
None of these pans has a coating for a dishwasher to strip, so the difference is about finish rather than function - detergent dulls polished stainless over years. Misen simply takes the position that this is acceptable, and says so. It is a small thing that makes daily ownership easier, and it is the kind of guidance worth checking across your whole kitchen - dishwasher safe cookware.
What it does not publish
Country of manufacture. The one substantive gap. Made In publishes Italy, Demeyere publishes Belgium, Zwilling publishes Vietnam. Misen publishes nothing.
Handle attachment. Riveted or welded is not stated on the pages we could read.
Warranty exclusions. "Lifetime against defects" is the headline; the exclusions are where these warranties live.
Direct-to-consumer brands are also a different ownership proposition from shelf brands. There is no store to walk into, returns run through the company, and availability depends on one website. That is not a quality judgment - it is a practical difference worth knowing before you buy.

The trade-off. Handles are the weak point. They are riveted and sturdy, but they get hot on a gas ring in a way the more expensive clad brands' do not.
Skip this if. You want a set you can leave in the oven above 500F, or you cook mostly eggs and pancakes and would rather spend the money on one good nonstick pan.
