Read from the CLASSIC 10.25 in Fry Pan product page. Two rows stand out: a published country on a coated pan, and a coating described only by trade name.
The rivetless handle
Scanpan attaches its handles with a patented locking system rather than rivets, and publishes that it is guaranteed never to come loose. This is the same argument Demeyere makes with welded handles, arriving at the same benefit from a different direction.
Why it matters on a coated pan specifically
On a bare stainless pan, rivet heads are a cleaning annoyance. On a coated pan they are also a coating problem: the coating has to go around them, the interface is where wear starts, and a scrubbed rivet head is where the surface first fails.
A coated pan with no rivets inside it has one fewer failure point, and given that coatings have no published lifespan from any maker - how long nonstick lasts - removing a failure point is worth something real.
The cost
Bakelite. It is a thermoset plastic, it is a wear part, and it is not repairable. It is also what allows the handle to stay cool, which a welded steel handle does not. The 500F oven rating almost certainly reflects the handle rather than the pan.
STRATANIUM, and the specification that is missing
STRATANIUM is Scanpan's proprietary nonstick surface. The product page publishes that it is metal-utensil safe and publishes nothing about what it is.
That matters more than it would for most trade names, because the one thing a buyer most wants to know about a coating in 2026 is its chemistry - specifically whether it is a PTFE family coating or a ceramic sol-gel. The two wear differently, last differently and answer the PFAS question differently.

No PFOA or PFAS statement is published on the product page either, which in 2026 is unusual - Caraway, Zwilling and HexClad all publish one.
Metal-utensil safety is published, which tells you the surface is unusually hard, and tells you nothing about its chemistry.

The induction gap
The Classic line is published for gas and electric. Cast aluminum has no iron in it, so there is nothing for an induction field to act on unless a magnetic base is added - and Scanpan sells that as a separate range.

Cast aluminum is genuinely a good body material for a coated pan. It is thicker and flatter than stamped aluminum, it resists warping, and a flat base is what keeps a coating heating evenly. Scanpan also publishes that the aluminum is recycled, which nobody else here does.
Who this is genuinely for
Buy it if you cook on gas or electric and want a coated pan with nothing inside it and published metal-utensil safety.
Buy it if a published country of manufacture matters and you still want a coated pan - there are very few of these.
Skip it if your stove is induction. Buy the induction range or another brand.
Skip it if you want to know what the coating is. That is a reasonable requirement and this page will not answer it.
Skip it if you treat coated pans as consumables, because the premium buys durability features on a surface that still has no published lifespan.
The verdict
A thoughtfully engineered coated pan - cast rather than stamped, rivetless, metal-utensil safe, made somewhere it will tell you about. The gap is chemistry: in a year when every competitor publishes a PFAS statement, Scanpan's product page publishes a trade name and leaves it there.
